Today we signed the road dedication form and had it notarized. I then exchanged emails with Denise Anderson and Ryan Hunsicker (the Supervising Land Surveyor) and arranged to hand-carry the notarized dedication to San Bernardino tomorrow. Both were every bit as gracious in winning as they were in defending the county’s position. Ryan has agreed to help expedite the recording process so we can call for the final inspection within a couple of days, and hopefully have a certificate of occupancy within a week or two so we can order propane and take our first hot showers in the house.

Although this battle is over, I’m not quite done with the war. I am looking into the process by which the county ruling can be re-worded to allow the property owner to temporarily block access to the right of way until such time as the county is ready to build a road.
